A
series of lunchtime seminars have been organized on “Health,
Ethics and Human Rights”, in conjunction with the Department
of Evidence for Health Policy. The aim of these seminars is to
raise awareness of pertinent health, human rights and ethical
issues in WHO by bringing in leading experts to a broad WHO
audience. The next seminar in this series will take place on 31
July, when Professor Vernellia Randall of the University of
Dayton School of Law will give a talk focussing on how racial
discrimination impacts on health. A compilation of selected
talks will to be published in the future.
